Assignment #1: I did better with the adult books than the children's but I'm still impressed how many titles I was able to come up with based on a small portion of the cover.
Assignment #2: It's clear I need to brush up on my Fantasy and Sci-Fi subgenres.
Assignment #4: I will be following Daily Beast - Books and the SFSite. I chose Daily Beast because I am fimiliar with many of the other reccomended links and even though I read Daily Beast regularly, I haven't paid much attention to their Book section. I chose the SFSite because it was clear from the above assignment that Sci-Fi subgenres are not my strength. Hopefully I'll learn something new.
It sounds like you've made two good choices. It's great that you're looking to learn more about an unfamiliar genre (or those crazy subgenres!)
